Assist patients walk or transports non-ambulatory patient using a wheelchair.

Transport patients or deceased individuals alone or with assistance, in a bed, wheeled cart, gurney or wheelchair to designated areas within the facility.

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION:

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Greet patients, physicians, visitors and sales person promptly in order to provide service and process requests.

Instruct patients on attire change and direct them to patient waiting areas in order to prepare patients for scheduled procedures.

Monitor final report printing, and mail/fax reports to non-staff physicians in order to provide speedy access to reports.

Organize and deliver requested film files for patient care floors, all Diagnostic Imaging sub-departments, Surgery, Radiation Oncology, and the Emergency Department, in order to provide films for consultation to all users.

Take requests and makes film/CD copies for physicians, patients and various departments in order to provide duplication of original records.

Combine outside films with current exam and distribute to Radiologist for comparison reports.

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED

Answer the telephone quickly and in a professional manner, in order to assist the caller and consistently convey a message of courtesy and professionalism.

Efficiently operate the following office/technical equipment: Digitizer, film processor, mobile film files, PC’s, PACS Diagnostic workstation, multi-line telephone, copier, fax machine, bar code printer, pneumatic tube, in order to provide various materials and department support.

Perform other related duties in order to maximize department efficiency, utilize untapped skill/roles and provide cross-training support, teamwork and service excellence.

Transport, cart and wheelchair patients as required in order to assist non-ambulatory patients travel through the department and health center.
