  • Responsible for creating and implementing AHHS’ fundraising strategy focusing on the annual fund, major gifts, bequests, capital campaigns, corporate and foundation support to help increase revenue and ultimately the impact and reach of AHHS.
  • Advance relationships with prospective donors through appropriate stages of qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
  • Work closely with management team to understand program funding needs and create opportunities to attract major donor, corporate and foundation support.
  • Prepare proposals and solicit prospects for gifts in support of the organization’s strategic plan and fundraising priorities.
  • Host or co-host receptions and other donor events.
  • Provide stewardship of gifts including acknowledgement process, coordinating recognition events, planning dedications, and work with the Executive Director on appropriate recognition.
  • Manage and implements direct mail program.
  • Responsible for organizing two major events (Strike Out Suffering & Fur Ball) and multiple smaller events throughout the year; duties including soliciting sponsors, recruiting attendees and teams, creating marketing materials, growing revenue and working with the media.
  • Manage AHHS’ outreach in the community through attendance at local events including managing details, working with Operations Team to coordinate staffing and preparing materials.
  • Manage AHHS social media ensuring updates are posted in a timely manner and different aspects of the organization are promoted throughout the year. Creates short on-line videos to promote animals and events, as needed.
  • Work to ensure AHHS is creating, new innovative ideas, among animal welfare agencies.
  • Identifies, produces and designs internal marketing opportunities such as signage, phone messages and literature.
  • Ensure AHHS staff get timely updates on events.
